1,000th International Student Registers To Prepare For Success

The first cohort of Prepare for Success students will begin their studies on Monday 22nd June .

Study Group’s new online programme - Prepare for Success, designed to give international students a head start before joining their academic course in autumn 2020 has reached an important milestone today as it gained its 1000th student.

This course will give learners the confidence and skills they need to progress in their studies in the UK and Europe. The content has been designed to reflect student needs at this time of global uncertainty, giving them the added assurance that their course will prepare them for everything they need on their academic journey.

CEO of Study Group Emma Lancaster warmly welcomed the news, “I am absolutely delighted that staff have worked so hard to create this very important resource for international students to help them be even more fully prepared to succeed in their studies. These have been challenging times for everyone but the Study Group has been determined to support our students wherever they are in developing their English language and study skills as well as their sense of an educational community. As a result, I have no doubt that our students will achieve even more once they are able to resume their studies in person, and that over 1000 students have already recognized the importance of putting this preparation time to good use.”

Since the course has proved to be so popular amongst students, the platform has decided to introduce an additional intake starting on Monday 20th July. This is to ensure more students don’t miss out on vital preparation. All students who confirm a place on one of their programs, and pay a portion of their fees, will be given free access to in-depth academic content and English materials.

The first cohort of Prepare for Success students will begin their studies on Monday 22nd June where they’ll gain exclusive access to an extensive range of learning materials along with regular direct tutor feedback. This preparation course contains 100 hours of online study covering 3 essential areas to help students achieve success:

Language skills: Focus on language development in different contexts (e.g. social, academic, professional)

Learning skills: Develop your own skills as a learner and your understanding of what teaching and learning in UK/Europe look like Life skills: Apply your new skills and knowledge in real-life situations like living in a different country or talking to people from different cultures.

The preparation course is the start of their academic journey. Students will be benefited from: a welcoming international community where they can meet fellow students, the confidence to become an independent and effective learner, supportive space to practice their English and meet classmates and teachers, access to high-quality academic content and English language materials and personalised feedback from tutors from the beginning of an educational journey.
