Hayde Heritage Academy Introduces A Residential Program For Creative Arts As Per NEP

With the introduction of this program, students can pursue art as a career thus emphasizing on critical design thinking, skill development and portfolio building.

With National Education Policy (NEP) introducing critical thinking and creativity in school education, Hayde Heritage Academy, a CBSE affiliated Senior Secondary School based in Kotdwar has introduced a residential program ‘Seekh’ – a 2-year program for creative art school aspirants. With the introduction of this program, students can pursue art as a career thus emphasizing on critical design thinking, skill development, portfolio building, which leads to the future preparation for design and art colleges. ‘Seekh’, with 4 semesters spread over 2 years, is offered with CBSE 11th-12th curriculum where the students will be provided with an opportunity to study and learn the subjects of their choices along with the art and design course.  

Hayde Heritage Academy, a CBSE affiliated Senior Secondary School based in Kotdwar, has always focused on multi-disciplinary education, even years before the National Education Policy came into force. This has been both path-breaking and revolutionary in the hinterlands for the new-age scientific method of education. The freedom the children enjoy when it comes to choosing their subjects all the while keeping their future insight has made these students confident to face the bigger world.

Vaibhav Agrawal, a class 12 student, Hayde Heritage Kotdwara, with dreams of joining the IIT is a quintessential STEM student but has teamed his Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with Geography and Psychology. Vaibhav says, “I am interested in these subjects so I grabbed the opportunity also I felt it would help me when I join the Army.”   

Devesh Rawat, a Science student of the same school has opted for Music – Tabla along with his core subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computer. When asked Devesh said, “Music helps me to cope with the stress of my other subjects. Actually, it has helped me perform better.”
