The grant has been specially instituted by LPU from this year for students from financially weak backgrounds who have qualified for India’s leading educational institutions like IIMs, IITs, NITs, NLUs, IHMs and NIFTs. For its own students, the university already offers several scholarships.

Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’, Union Minister for Human Resource Development said, “No talented student should be deprived of high-quality education due to lack of funds. Yet, it is a sad reality that there are several students who are unable to take admissions at institutes of their choice owing to financial challenges. This Study Grant by Lovely Professional University is a fantastic initiative and will enable hundreds of students to achieve their dream of attaining quality education. I wish more institutions emulate this.”

Ashok Mittal, Chancellor, LPU said, “We have initiated the grant based on our belief that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a student to have access to quality education. We hope these Young Turks make it big and make us all proud of their achievements in the years to come.
