Law Graduates Secure Jobs Through LawSikho

With a job market that only grows more competitive with each passing day, more fresh law graduates and even seasoned professionals looking for an advancement in their career find it difficult to find a foothold in the industry.

With their focus on developing high demand skills, intensive learning and practical knowledge, LawSikho has been equipping learners to stay on top of the quickly growing and continuously shifting market even in the middle of a pandemic. 

In August, the New Delhi based ed-tech company managed to secure 176 internships, 15 jobs and 79 freelancing gigs for their learners. With students bagging international opportunities in organisations such as Universal Translation Solutions, Kulkarni Law Firm, HLOOV and USAIndiaCFO, apart from prestigious Indian law firms like Finsec Law Advisors and Fox Mandal, LawSikho is ensuring that lawyers and law students can benefit from the remote work economy and are able to make the most of their potential. To put things into perspective, over the past year, LawSikho has secured over 1500+ internships and 117 jobs for their students while 280 have opted for life as a remote freelancer working for international clients.

Highlights: Top placements were at Kohli & Sobti, Capgemini, Wadia Gandhi & Co, AceLegal, A&A, and Advani & Co. Our candidates have also been shortlisted for a job opportunity at IndusLaw and are in the interview stage at present. The highest salary package was Rs 10 LPA (Capgemini) - secured by a candidate with our assistance and 4.2 LPA (Kohli & Sobti) secured through the Placements Team. The average package was Rs 3.3 LPA.

Total Internships: 155
Highlights: 3 international success stories (Kulkarni Law Firm (USA), HLOOV (UAE), and USAIndiaCFO (USA)). 15 students secured internships with HSA Advocates and 10 students secured a paid internship with RuleZero, a legal/fintech platform. The highest stipend for an internship is Rs 14,600 by Kulkarni Law Firm which will be paid on the candidate’s successful completion of her internship and the average stipend of students who secured a paid internship this month is Rs 5,000.

Total Legal Freelancing: 18
Highlights: Students worked with startups in patent registration and contract review, with a film writer, an Australian client, an international firm in international trade laws, and on a trademark registration proposal. The highest amount earned by a freelancer was Rs. 50,000 approx. (by a student who got to work on Patents at an AI Startup)
