NASTA 2020 Exam Concludes; Results Will Be Declared Soon

KAMP conducted the National Assessment for Scientific temperament and Aptitude (NASTA-2020) exam for Classes 5th to 12th from 27th Jan to 4th Feb 2021.

“Knowledge and Awareness Mapping Platform” (KAMP) an initiative and Knowledge Alliance of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-National Institute of Science Technology and Development Studies (CSIR-NISTADS), Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Govt. of India with M/S, NYSA Communications, Noida, U.P. KAMP was initiated to identify and promote gifted and talented students of class 5th to 12th in the field of Science, Technology and Humanities. KAMP was launched by Prof. K. Vijay Raghavan (Principle Scientific Advisor-Govt. of India) and Dr Shekhar C. Mande (Director General, CSIR) on 3rd April 2019.

The NASTA 2020 exam for all CBSE Schools was conducted in 2 shifts from 9:30 am to 11:00 am and 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. It was a 2-paper exam for class 5th -10th students. A total of 60 questions were asked in each paper. In Paper 1 The questions were asked from Mathematics, Life Science, Physical Science, Earth Science, whereas in Paper 2 the questions were asked from IT/Computers, EVS/Humanities and Aptitude. The overall difficulty level of the questions was moderate. For class 11th and 12th students single paper exam was conducted in which 80 questions were asked from aptitude and reasoning.

Total 54,180 students from all across India appeared in online Exam conducted by KAMP operations and Coordination Office. Students of CBSE schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya have participated in the exam.

The assessment was conducted to identify the scientific temperament among students, based on the outcome of the assessment; an advisory report will be shared with all students, schools and CBSE. National Level top performers will be awarded The Junior Scientist Award.

The first assessment of KAMP, National Assessment of Scientific Temperament and Aptitude (NASTA)-2019 was held on 27th & 28th January 2020. NASTA 2019 was widely accepted by the schools across the country and was supported by prestigious education boards of the country including CBSE, State Board of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, also in all Kendriya Vidyalaya’s, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya’s under MHRD. KAMP was able to identify and recognize 12 National Toppers, 178 State Toppers and 824 District Toppers from different parts of India in the year 2019 for their remarkable performance. NASTA 2019 has provided a comprehensive assessment outcome not only to the young students but also to schools, teachers and parents.

KAMP Official says NASTA 2020 results are expected to be announced by last week of February 2021.
