NEET JEE Exams Likely To Be Held In August, September
With no official statement from the Ministry of Education, speculation arises of the exams being held in August and NEET to be conducted with a 25-day gap.
JEE-Mains may take place in July and August while the medical entrance exam NEET may be scheduled as late as September. This postponement would not be surprising as most entrance exams have been delayed this year, with institutes still adjusting to the ongoing pandemic.
This speculation comes shortly after the announcement of INI-CET dates for late July and Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) 2021 application date extended to 30th June. With the CBSE exams cancelled for the year, students await eagerly for this announcement.
Some educators see this as a boon, as Vivek Jain, Chief Business Officer, Shiksha.com and Naukri FastForward commented, “After cancellation of class 12 Board Exams, the announcement of JEE Main to be held in August is a huge relief for Engineering aspirants. The uncertainties that were looming around so far had demotivated a bunch of students. Now students can concentrate on their last-minute preparation tips with a relaxing mind. Moreover, postponement of NEET in September, preferably within 15th September will be better for Medical aspirants as it will give them enough time to complete the registration process and would ensure that the admission process can be completed within November or December, which is necessary. The date of exam for JEE Main and NEET must be declared soon to reduce the anxiety of the young aspirants.”
Ministry of Education will go live tomorrow at 4 PM to answer questions regarding this and give definite answers.
