This meet was part of the series of Education 4.0 Virtual Conclaves, which PIET has been organizing during the lockdown, to brainstorm on how to improve our education ecosystem.
Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology (PIET), Delhi-NCR’s top engineering institute, brought top education experts together to discuss changing paradigms of education in India in the face of COVID-19 driven disruption, at the Edu Leaders 4.0 Virtual Conclave. The total number of attendees to the Edu Leaders 4.0 Virtual Conclave were 464.
This meet was part of the series of Education 4.0 Virtual Conclaves, which PIET has been organizing during the lockdown, to brainstorm on how to improve our education ecosystem. To this end, leading thought leaders of top educational institutes have been connected virtually at these conclaves to share their views and thoughts. Students, as well as teachers, have been keen participants in this series of webinars.
One of the major topics of discussion was Education 4.0, it is an academic narrative PIET has adapted and activated with a lot of fervour and success. Despite the current challenges, with COVID-19 and the lockdown, deep adoption of Education 4.0 norms helped the institution to keep moving ahead with uninterrupted education, training and pedagogy.
Speaking about the conclave, Rakesh Tayal, Vice Chairman, Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology said “Edu Leaders 4.0 Virtual Conclave is a great platform to map industry’s requirements and assess where we, as educationists, are in terms of making the student meet those requirements. It is also an opportunity to brainstorm possible outcomes and measures borne out of COVID induced scenarios and challenges. I look forward to many more such insightful discussions and I express my gratitude to everyone who joined in the Education Conclave”
Every industrial revolution brings with it a change in the academic narrative. Today we are in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the academics need to adapt to the needs of the industry hence the concept of Education 4.0 came into being. Education 4.0 entails the aspect of Blended Learning (a hybrid of Online-Offline teaching models), collaborative learning, differential learning (which customizes teaching as per the needs of Slow or Advanced Learners) and Project-based learning.
In fact, because of Education 4.0, PIET seamlessly transited from an offline mode to a virtual delivery mechanism within a few hours while the nation was moving into the very first phase of lockdown. This demonstrates that as one of the top B. Tech and MBA colleges in Haryana and India, PIET ensures that its faculty and students are constantly in sync with the needs of Industry and ready for natural or system challenges.
