Vahan, Task Teams To Upskill Telangana Students

Enters in two-year partnership with Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (an initiative by Govt of Telangana)

Vahan, India’s blue and grey-collar worker recruitment platform has partnered with Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) for the upskilling and aiding employment of young graduates. As part of the collaboration, Vahan will enroll 30,000 eligible students on its platform where they would be able to work upon their skills through exclusive access of the community including webinars on industry trends, insights, business leaders’ talks.

The corporate ‘MoU Exchange’ was held in the presence of guests K T Rama Rao, Minister for IT E&C, Industries, MA & UD Telangana State and Dr Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary IT E&C Industry & Commerce, Govt of Telangana and Vice Chairman – TASK along with senior officials from Vahan’s management.

The two-year long partnership is aimed at enhancing requisite skillset of the graduating students in the engineering field, thereby helping in focussed and quick employability. The community inclusive pilot program by Vahan will maintain equal focus on women candidates and students from marginalised communities. To start with, Vahan is looking at placing 1000 active job seekers (aged between 18 to 29 years) as software developers and gig workers.
