Be A Game Changer For India: President To IIT Kanpur Students

Indian President Ram Nath Kovind attended the 51st convocation ceremony of the IIT Kanpur where he presented medals and degrees to the praiseworthy students. He also shared his words of wisdom encouraging the students to contribute their efforts to the betterment of the country. "Today's India offers unprecedented hope and avenues. Our fast-growing economy offers you huge scope. With your talent, your education and your IIT degree, each of you can be a game-changer for India," said President Ram Nath Kovind, according to NDTV India. He also talked about all the new schemes and programmes that have been started by the Government for the nation and added to the same by saying that they should also utilize their knowledge and skills to provide India with their contribution to make ours a developed nation since technology can be a force multiplier.

 He also said that being associated to Kanpur, they could act as a major helping hand in the mission to clean the Ganga river. He also shared the four success mantras with the students which were, "get inspired, think big, maintain discipline and be humble and sensitive." He said that IIT Kanpur had started with a batch of just 100 students in 1960. Since then, the students have been successfully contributed to the development of the nation. It has 35000 alumni constituting highly skilled professionals such as engineers, entrepreneurs, and others. This way, he motivated the students that being a part of IIT Kanpur was a matter of pride in itself and it should be respected by working hard further and developing the field of technology.
