JMI Partners With Siemens Healthineers For Health Innovation
JMI hosts ‘Innovation Think Tank Capacity Building Programme in Health Architecture by ITT, Siemens Healthineers


The Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) hosted the ‘Innovation Think Tank Capacity Building Programme in Health Architecture" by ITT, Siemens Healthineers from 14- 17 November 2023. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, ex-Vice-Chancellor of JMI and Founder of ITT, Siemens Healthineers.
“The programme is an experiential learning training based on successful implementation and management of Innovation Think Tank programmes and labs at Siemens Healthineers and other institutions”, Sultan Haider, Founder, ITT, Siemens Healthineers, said.
“JMI students are encouraged to adopt a multidisciplinary learning approach for better education, as Jamia offers diverse education to address complex problems and caters to complex problems”, Najma Akhtar, ex-Vice-Chancellor, JMI, said.
65 students and faculty members from two departments were shortlisted from 85 applicants through online registration and interviews for event participation where they worked in ten interdisciplinary teams. The teams worked on ‘Hospitals of the future’ and ‘Patient-centered hospitals’ and created prototypes.
“On 17 November 2023, the session began with a welcome address by Hina Zia, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Ekistics. The Chief Guest, Eqbal Hussain and Guest of Honour, Sultan Haider, Founder of ITT Siemens Healthineers, were honoured”, Sultan Haider, Founder, ITT, Siemens Healthineers, explained the background and concept of the programme.
