Jamia Millia Islamia’s Organises Cleanliness Drive

Shramdaan Programme titled 'Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath' was organised at the university campus

Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal for a nationwide cleanliness drive; Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) organized an hour-long program “Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta Ek Saath” coordinated by the Sanitation Department of the university.

Vice Chancellor Dr Eqbal Hussain, teachers, students, NSS volunteers and NCC youth have participated in the drive organised at the Jamia Millia Islamia campus and at adjoining areas of the university.

Following the cleanliness drive at the university's Central Canteen, the Vice Chancellor and others went to Al Shifa Hospital where the university had also organised a cleanliness drive in collaboration with RWAs, neighborhood NGOs, and Al Shifa Hospital. A group of instructors and students from the Department of Social Work at JMI took part. Eqbal Hussain and other university officials planted trees in front of the Al Shifa Hospital under the direction of the university's horticulture department.
