More than 95 per cent of registered students showed up for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) - 2021 on Sunday, the second day of the examination.
As per the data shared by the state Minister of Higher Education CN Ashawath Narayan, 95.91 per cent of the registered two lakh+ candidates appeared for the Physics exam and 95.88 per cent for the Chemistry exam.
Narayan added that among the candidates there were 12 Covid19 positive students who wrote the exam from care centres facilitated for them.
The examination was reportedly held at 530 locations across the state, adhering to all pandemic guidelines.
The Kannada Language Test is to be conducted on August 30 as per CET 2021 schedule. 1682 candidates have registered so far.
The results of the CET 2021 exam are to be announced by 20th September 2021.
