In a Board Meeting held on Monday, 31st August, of Board of Governors, Mr M Damodaran was unanimously appointed as Chairperson of a Committee to Review the Governance Structure and Future of MDI. 

Mr Damodaran is widely considered an Institutional Builder. Mr Damodaran has in the past also had interludes with MDI.  

The newly appointed interim chairperson of the BOG, Mr Mohandas Pai commented, “Given his past leadership experience and institution building a visionary track record, Mr Damodaran can help bring an Independent view, global insights and a 360-degree perspective that can help MDI be the first choice of bright young leaders and India’s premier management education institution in the future". Mr Damodaran is to appoint members of the committee having appropriate representation of various stakeholders. 

Commenting on the formation of this committee chaired by Mr Damodaran, Dr Pawan Kumar Singh, Director MDI said “We welcome this appointment and as the NEP 2020 and the technology immersion, post-COVID creates new opportunities, we need wise advice to see the future and help us in our vision. We look forward to the insights of The Damodaran Committee to take a leap and be future-ready."
