NRI Launches 'American Colleges' To Revolutionise International Education Counselling
American Colleges promises transparent, unbiased and largely free guidance for students aspiring to study in the U.S. and Canada
In a significant development for international education counselling, Patriek Karayil, a seasoned education veteran and advisor to the American Education Board, has introduced 'American Colleges.' This new venture is dedicated to providing clear, unbiased and predominantly free guidance to students aspiring to pursue higher education in the United States and Canada.
Headquartered in Washington, D.C., the creation of 'American Colleges' draws from Karayil's first-hand experiences as an international student navigating the complex U.S. educational system. It also reflects his insights as an experienced education professional, who observed the increasing challenges faced by international students. 'American Colleges' has established offices in Thrissur, Kerala and Dubai, UAE.
Recognising the lack of transparent and reliable information for students, Karayil aims to address the dominance of profit-oriented educational agents who often prioritise university commissions over the best interests of students. Karayil, an alumnus of Arizona State University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), brings a wealth of experience from his roles as the Former Vice President for U.S. News Global Education, CMO for Shorelight Education, CEO advisor for INTO Global and CMO advisor to 2U. He has consulted with over 50 U.S. universities on admissions and enrollment strategies and serves as the President of American Colleges.
'American Colleges' operates primarily as a not-for-profit entity, focusing on providing free resources and sidestepping university commissions or counselling fees. This approach ensures that students' best interests remain the top priority, with minimal to no cost to the students.
