Rajesh Chakrabarti Relinquishes Post As MDI Director, Serves Last Date Today On Lohri
Chakrabarti steps down today, on 13th January, after completing a one and half year tenure at the institute

Dr Rajesh Chakrabarti was appointed as the Director of MDI Gurgaon on June 1, 2021, taking over from Director-Additional Charge, Prof Atmanand.
His one and half year tenure came to an end today with Chakrabarti stepping down from the post.
In his farewell note, Chakrabarti expressed his gratitude for his time at the institute and praised the many events and initiatives started by the institute and its post-pandemic recovery. He considers himself "extremely lucky to have witnessed so many changes."
Prior to joining MDI Gurgaon, Chakrabarti had served as Professor and Dean at the Jindal Global Business School, O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed To Be University). As well as, holding positions at the Wadhwani Foundation and the Indian School of Business.
During his term, MDI received its AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation, a global accrediting body for business schools and a milestone event for the premier B-school.
MDI Gurgaon is one the top private management institutes in the country and has had many prominent directors over the years, including Dr Pawan Kumar Singh, who is currently serving as Director of the Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli and Dr Himadri Das, who is currently the Director General of International Management Institute.
