Researchers Are Invited Under Lok Sabha Research Fellowships For The Session 2018-19
To enthuse researchers with the opportunity to undertake research of high standards on parliamentary themes, Lok Sabha Secretariat is offering fellowships for two-years in the same.
The last date to submit applications is January 10, 2017. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, students need to go through the below-mentioned procedure:
Eligibility Criteria:
- The applying candidate should not be less than 25 years and not more than 70 years of age on the last date of application.
- Candidate must hold post- graduation degree in any social science discipline with outstanding research publications and academic record in any discipline related to parliamentary studies or expert in his or her area of interest.
Scholarship Reward:
INR 10L will be given for writing books and contingency grant of INR 50K for purchase of journals, books, stationaries, travel and other relate expenses. The grant will be given in instalments upon satisfactory progress of the project.

About:
Lok Sabha is composed of representatives of the people chosen by direct election on the basis of the adult suffrage. The maximum strength of the House envisaged by the Constitution is 552, which is made up by election of up to 530 members to represent the States, up to 20 members to represent the Union Territories and not more than two members of the Anglo-Indian Community to be nominated by the Hon'ble President, if, in his/her opinion, that community is not adequately represented in the House.
