Silver Line Prestige School introduces a unique campaign '‘Kyunki Mein Ek teacher hoon' on the occasion of Teacher's Day
To restore the age-old respect of the teacher's profession and making India the world's No. 1 country in respect of Gurus, Silver Line Prestige School (SLPS), Ghaziabad has introduced a unique online campaign ‘Kyunki Mein ek teacher hoon’ on the occasion of Teacher's Day across social media platforms. It appeals to all the teachers of the country to present the challenges of their profession as well as the sacrifices made to transport their duty and the pride of being a teacher to the world through their videos. They will further, narrate the proud stories of the teachers of the country through videos on various social media platforms starting Teachers Day on 5th September.
A Unified District Information System for Education (UDISE) report states that the Indian school education system is one of the largest education systems in the world with over 15 lakh schools. According to the annual government estimate, the total number of teachers in 2019-20 was 9.68 million, an increase of over 250,000 compared to the total number of teachers in 2018-19. This increase in the number of teachers is a positive sign as it increases the student-teacher ratio (PTR).
The teachers of the country are the pillars of the successful implementation of the new National Education Policy 2020 and they are going to play an important role in making India a 'Vishwa Guru'. Therefore, it becomes even more imperative for the country to respect its teachers and encourage them at every step. This year marks the 190th birth anniversary of Savitri Bai Phule, India's first female teacher and this is also a tribute to a remarkable feminist and social reformer who fought for women's empowerment and education in India.
