Sunstone Eduversity, India’s Business School offering pay-after-placement management degree programs, appoints Ankur Jain as Chief Business Officer. With over 12 years of expertise in Sales, Marketing and Business Development, Ankur will be responsible for Sunstone Eduversity’s expansion into new geographies and for onboarding more campus and corporate partners for the brand. Having a demonstrated history of building businesses and products from the ground-up, Ankur comes with extensive experience in handling growth and expansion for Start-ups as well as larger corporations.

Speaking of his appointment at Sunstone Eduversity, Ankur said, “I have always envisioned enabling students who are the future of the country with an opportunity to build a career that they have dreamed of. I also want to contribute as much as possible towards an academic landscape in India where more students can choose entrepreneurship as a career path. To support his vision of empowering students, Ankur also established HostelFund in 2020, which he runs in parallel to managing his portfolio at Sunstone. HostelFund is India's only student-focused fund designed to mentor and fund student-founded Start-ups. It has till date evaluated over 700 student-founded Start-ups and mentored over 100 of them on Business Strategies and Scaling.

Prior to joining Sunstone Eduversity’s leadership team, Ankur worked with YourStory Media as a Director of Sales & Business Development. At YourStory, he was also responsible for tapping alternate channels of revenue and mapping the global expansion of the business.

Ankur has earlier worked with Amazon as the Regional Sales & Business Development Head, wherein he was leading the National & Regional Retail chains’ ecosystem for the business and was responsible for onboarding new partners across consumer categories. He was previously also associated with Airtel India in the capacity of Business Head-Franchise Retail. In this role, Ankur headed operations across 2500 retail stores pan India in terms of Sales & Services.

He is also an active member of the CII Start-up Council which works towards creating a stronger Start-up ecosystem across the country.
